this may be the best thing to happen to finishing powder, ever.
bare escentuals has taken their award winning mineral veil and packaged it into a sleek pressed compact!
(cheers and applause)
the original mineral veil is meant to complete your makeup look by absorbing oil, softening the complexion and giving an overall flawless finish. it also acts as a setting powder to “lock” your look in place and for a lot of people, it’s the very best piece of the bare escentuals puzzle.
this new touch up version is slightly different in that it’s totally great on its own. i love it for dusting over moisturizer on those ‘no makeup’ days and it’s the best possible thing to freshen my face mid-day when that 2:00 p.m. shine starts to set in.
the translucent shade is completely sheer and natural, but still manages to even tone the slightest bit and diffuse minor imperfections. touch up veil goes on like silk with a big fluffy brush and doesn’t cake at all. it feels like you’ve got nothing on, but the finished look enhances your skin’s natural state and just kind of kicks it up a notch. plus, the new format means that no product is wasted (or spilled in my hobo) – hooray!
i’m really wowed by the difference it makes on my bare face. if you’re in the market for something to control shine, even out skin, and cover pores, this is a great little product to add to your routine. or, request be stuffed in your stocking.
bareminerals ready spf 15 touch up veil is available in translucent and tinted for $22.
Oooooh, I must buy this. I’m a huge fan of the original version, but this is a great on the go version!! Adding this to my Christmas list as we speak.
it’s so good for one the go. i love it and (since they’ve done it with eye shadows) i hope this is a trend for their blushes, too!
I’ve been debating whether to get the compact or the powder – my powder version is almost gone. I use it over my Origins Silk Screen powder foundation, and it just looks so much better with it. Do you think this new compact can still be used over foundation to the same effect?
yes! i definitely think it will give you that flawless finish that the original formula does. it acts as a setting powder when i do my makeup normally so you should still be in good shape.
i love that it’s not messy to carry around like the other bare mineral products!
hallelujah! the best part, by far :) i so hope blush is next!! *fingers crossed*
