i am in love with the look makeup artist mai quynh put together for the rebecca minkoff fall 2012 runway show. she started with fresh, dewy skin moisturized with for goodness face and then polished up with min-a-real cream-to-powder foundation and good riddance hook up concealer (really creamy and easy to blend so it just melts into skin). a touch of matte-nificent oil-absorbing powder completed the canvas and prepped cheeks for just pinched instant blush tint in nude. cheeks were kept very calm to balance out the dramatic eye achieved using the dark plummy shade (in the middle, far right) in this on the dot neutral palette, concentrated near the lash line, and the copper in the keep it going ‘surreal’ compact. once the coppery smoky eye was complete, mai applied lots of lash all you want high-volume mascara in black. the spiky brush provides really full thick lashes with no flaking – they looked almost faux. the final touch? a swipe of totally balmed tinted in totally hot.
