duwop icedteas3

duwop iced teas in strawberry kiwi

new from duwop is a line of translucent lip treatments called icedteas. flavored with fruity goodness, subtly cooling, and packing a punch of sheer color, these are not to be missed! arriving in four shades, i opted for white peach (a sheer pink). i was disappointed at the barely-there color of the product, but once on lips it delivers a wash of healthy, poppy pink that instantly soothed my parched pucker. duwop claims these include sunscreen but i find no mention of spf anywhere, so be sure to wear a sunsafe lippie underneath. these natural tints are a cinch to apply, no mirror necessary, and are sure to keep you poolside pretty!

the lip slip by sara happ1

dear, lips: you're welcome.

some may know sarah happ for her line of lip scrubs which come complete with their own cult following. her latest creation, the lip slip,  is true love in a chubby little tub. inside is one generous serving of luxury balm that is amazingly cushiony soft to the touch.  a faint scent of spices and marshmallow? takes the cake, clearly rendering this concoction deserving of its creator’s description: soft, sweet, nude, girly, and grand. once on, the lip slip is deliciously thick and rich, moisturizing every part of your pucker with an ever-so-slightly sparkly hint of pink. i’ve tossed one in my purse for constant closeness, because this girl?  is stuck on the slip.

play: jouer cosmetics2

playtime

i’ve been a faithful fan of jouer (french for “play”) cosmetics since college. something about the subtle shades of pinks, taupes, and light browns designed to enhance natural beauty has captured my attention. each compact connects to others of your choosing to create a custom makeup palette. genius! sadly, jouer is still not yet widely available (part if its appeal, perhaps?) only sold in henri bendel in nyc and online. the website is highly interactive, including bare-faced models with varying skintones so that customers can “play” with color virtually. for fun, i designed my own personal palette below:

jouer is priced in the bobbi brown range so while it’s not cheap, it’s quality stuff.

how do you play?
