i started the glossarie because i have a passion for beauty products (read: a serious addiction) and i love talking about them. i needed a creative outlet to share my discoveries with the world, so here we are!
over the three years that i’ve been writing, i have tested hundreds of products so that you don’t have to. i’m highly promiscuous when it comes to makeup and skincare, dabbling in everything from drugstore to designer, searching for the “one” that can anchor a blog post.
i choose to focus exclusively on positive reviews, posting and promoting products that are the absolute best and showcasing things that really work. i love featuring a lesser-known brand or a niche product that is as effective on the inside as it is beautiful on the out.
i write the glossarie because i want my readers to build a prettier lifestyle, starting with their makeup bag. i focus on quality over quantity with a bright, positive attitude, a tendency not to take myself too seriously and an appreciation for truly beautiful things.
i hope you’ll make yourself at home among my edited collection of beauty splurges and steals. this blog and its readers mean the world to me – i’m so happy you’re here!

the privacy of my readers is of the utmost importance. i automatically collect some information from all visitors to the glossarie, however, none of this information is shared with outside parties.
the glossarie contains advertising and some contextual affiliate marketing links. this means that i may earn commission on sales of the products that i feature in my posts.
this blog has grown so far beyond my wildest dreams and i am lucky enough to receive beauty and skincare products to sample sent to me by public relations firms and direct from the brands themselves. posts that feature such products are indicated by their inclusion in the “editorial sample” category. please rest assured that my opinions on these products are completely my own and i do not accept products that require a review be written (positive or negative).
affiliate links, brand sponsorships, and pr samples are just one of the many things that keep this blog chugging along and help to ensure that i have consistently beautiful content to share with you. should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at theglossarie@gmail.com.

So, I totally stumbled across your blog while looking for fellow DMV bloggers. And basically, you have the cutest site ever. (And you look like a brunette Katherine Heigel, who is hottt.)
I’m obsessed with beauty stuff, sooo I can’t wait to scroll through everything.

Hi Lara-
I work with your Dad, and he just showed me your website. It really looks great. I suggest you read “The 4 Hour Workweek” by Timothy Ferriss at your earliest convenience, since you have already mastered some of the key insights of the book, and I think it is full of thought provoking content on how to design a lifestyle that leverages your apparent skills.
Best of Luck,
Larry Candell
thanks, larry! i’m so happy you stopped by and i will definitely add “the 4 hour work week” to my reading list :)

Neat blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your design. Bless you
